It’s natural to have concerns about teaching and breaking into the ESL job market for the first time. I felt these 20 years ago, when I first started. Yet I found that it was much easier to teach well and find ESL jobs than I originally thought.

Over the years I have gone from one exciting teaching opportunity to another, across three continents, and found work in good schools within days. I’m not alone in this; everyone on our training team has had similar experiences.

Genuinely caring for the well being and progress of students, from a confident and empowered mindset, is the hallmark of a great teacher. Trends such as globalization and business restructuring have had a major impact on the demand for English teaching. The number of language schools and teaching positions in them has grown considerably, leaving school owners clamoring to find good teachers.
