Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

Checkup magazine is a premiere free sample magazine subscription for Canadian samplers with children. The free sample magazine from Cook Children’s promises to improve the health of every child in our region through the prevention and treatment of illness, disease and injury. In this free sample magazine subscription they provide helpful, educational information for parents, sourced by the experts at Cook Children’s.

Because prevention trumps treatment when it comes to health, it’s important for children to see their doctors once a year for their annual medical exam. There are good reasons why all kids need regular physicals. It allows the parent and the doctor to continuously track their growth development, screen for common health problems and go over some Q&A that the parent and/or the child may have. Plus, it’s also a good time to insure that he or she is up to date on their shots, which is a requirement for most school admission.

Of course, with a new school year starting back up and the many after school activities, it can be hard to keep track of it all. So to help you keep abreast on matters pertaining to child health care, there is the Checkup magazine. This magazine, designed with the parent in mind, provides helpful, educational information for moms and dads, sourced by the experts at Cook Children’s Hospital.

Sign up for your free subscription today and read up on the some of the health articles that may be relevant to your own child’s health care. If nothing else, it’s a great launching point to start the conversation with your child’s doctor to insure that he or she is healthy in every way possible.

Sharper Impressions Painting announces Corey Hancock’s promotion

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

Sharper Impressions Painting proudly announces Corey Hancock’s promotion to District Manager/Part Owner of the Indianapolis metropolitan region.

Corey Hancock now leads the Indianapolis Division for Sharper Impressions Painting. “Corey has proven his ability as a master painting contractor who delivers top-quality paint jobs for satisfied clients,” says company founder Geoff Sharp. “He’s a great manager and leader with solid industry knowledge.”

Established in 1992, Sharper Impressions Painting provides interior and exterior painting for residential and commercial properties and is well known throughout the area for unmatched, yet affordable and professional painting service.

The local paint company combines traditional attention-to-detail with technical advances that allow Sharper Impressions to offer careful analysis of prep-work and accurate quotes, saving each customer money and reducing environmental painting waste.

Sharper Impressions helps homeowners make important choices. “We are the only paint contractor who offers free, in-home color consulting and free color ‘try-ons’,” says Hancock. “I know that color selection can be a difficult decision. That’s why we work carefully with clients to find exactly what colors they’re looking for.”

One of Hancock’s recent projects for an Indianapolis client involved matching three different colors of paint seen on a house 30 minutes away. “We drove there, analyzed the house colors, then had our paint manufacturer duplicate the colors,” recalls Hancock. “I think it’s important to go that extra mile for our customers – that’s just what we do.”

The project, involving nearly 6,000 square feet of painting and staining, was voted best “Before & After” – an award given by fellow Sharper Impressions team members. “This was just another example of Corey’s dedication to his craft,” says Sharp, “and it’s great to see his peers acknowledge exceptional work.”

Hancock graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a degree in Business Management. A life-long resident of Indianapolis and graduate of Perry Meridian High School, Hancock played three years of minor league baseball for the Chicago White Sox. Hancock joined the company in 2007 and is married with two young children.

Sharper Impressions Painting is a full-service residential painting company specializing in both interior and exterior painting. The company is founded by Geoff Sharp and is a residential painting specialist in the Indianapolis region. Medical Review Solutions Profile

Medical Review Solutions Profile

Medical Review Solutions started in 2002 and quickly grew to become a leader in the hospital & medical bill review sector of the healthcare industry.

The high cost of healthcare, combined with the complexity of the billing system, has become a major concern for payers. Furthermore, payers are becoming acutely aware that healthcare bills often contain substantial errors. This awareness has become especially prevalent since the subject of overcharges has become an issue at the center of local, regional and national media attention.

Although payers are aware of the problem most lack the specialized knowledge and skill to do bill review themselves. Many are turning to Medical Bill Reviewers to handle the review process on their behalf.

About Us

With a background in establishing EDI systems for healthcare applications, Medical Review Solutions is well versed in the healthcare industry as a whole - especially in cost reduction and containment strategies.

We keep our fingers on the pulse of what is happening in the healthcare industry to insure we position ourselves on the leading edge. As payers were becoming more aware of the immense and costly problem of billing errors, Medical Review Solutions quickly realized there would be a need for Medical Bill Reviewers. With this in view, we designed powerful software tools and a comprehensive training program to educate and equip individuals to enter this field. With the tools and step-by-step training we provide a person can now join this growing and dynamic profession.

With baby boomers aging, overall healthcare expenditures continue to escalate. The good news is: the demand for bill review services is growing right along with it.

Mission Statement

1. To provide an opportunity for the economic and professional growth of our Licensees/Solution Providers.

2. To continually conduct innovative research and develop leading edge strategies and technologies in the field of hospital & medical bill review.

3. To provide an environment for the growth and career development of our employees.

4. To be a contributing factor in solving the problem of the high cost of healthcare by directly addressing billing errors and other cost reduction issues.

Philosophy

Our overall philosophy is really quite simple and practical. We endeavor to provide a viable and cost effective solution to a specific targeted problem. Furthermore, the solution we provide must be measurable.

There is a huge problem in the healthcare industry. This problem accounts for over $10 billion dollars per year in inadvertent billing errors. When waste and abuse are added in, the amount rises to over $100 billion. This increases the overall cost of health care and at the same time decreases the quality of care.

Although identifying a problem is well and good it is not nearly enough. Discovering problems is only step one. Providing tangible solutions is what defines us and our Licensees/Solution Providers.

Healthcare payers have a problem and we provide a solution to their problem. What is the solution we provide? We provide software tools and training to individuals so they can become Medical Bill Reviewers and work with the payer community to insure they are being billed correctly for healthcare.

This is a very valuable service to payers because with the right tools and training a Medical Bill Reviewer can save a payer thousands, and in some cases, millions of dollars, in healthcare expenditures. For obvious reasons payers are interested in these substantial savings. пизде в сперма

A New Sun Tanning Drug

Friday, January 30th, 2009

I was reading some blogs today and noticed a new drug that has been approved for “human trials”. Some say this new sun tanning drug is dangerous but it has some positive results as far as I can see from the before and after images and videos online. What is next a drug that helps you get smaller feet? (For the ladies with a bigfoot insecurity).

Well looks like you don’t have to lay in the tanning be as long as normal now. I have nothing against tanning since I am normally white (almost pasty) without a tan. I personally would not take this drug, it reminds me of that old movie Soul man

Here is a piece of the original article I found on Wired Sience: http://blog.wired.com/wiredscience/2009/01/tan.html?npu=1&mbid=yhp

A drug that stimulates the body’s tanning response — turning pasty skin caramel for up to two months  — has been approved for human trials, but not for tanning.

Although the drug will not be available for cosmetic purposes any time soon, similar compounds are already being widely abused on the pharmaceutical black market. The official product, a man made hormone called afamalenodtide, has received U.S. government approval to begin clinical trials.

“It’s a bioabsorbable implant that you just inject into the skin,” said Colin Mackie, director of business development for Clinuvel, the company bringing the drug to the U.S. “It stimulates melanin production.”

Melanin is the body’s natural pigment. It’s responsible for the color of skin and protects humans from harmful solar radiation. The drug will be tested as a treatment for patients who face serious danger from the sun’s rays, like those with rare genetic diseases or who must take immunosuppressants, Mackie said.

But online retailers already offer a similar (but not identical) compound under a more descriptive brand name, Melanotan II, which American and British health officials warn are already being abused.

“Using it could be dangerous to short and long-term health,” British health officials said in November.  It has not been tested for safety, quality or effectiveness and we don’t know the potential side effects yet.”

This week two British Medical Journal researchers warned that injecting the compound could change the size and shape of moles, which under normal circumstances can be a precursor to skin cancer.

What do you think? Would you use this tanning drug? Are you a Soul Man?

Man Turns In To An Eyeborg

Monday, January 5th, 2009

A Canadian filmmaker plans to have a mini camera installed in his prosthetic (Fake) eye to make documentaries and raise awareness about surveillance in society.

Rob Spence is a 36 year old “eyeborg”, who lost an eye in an accident as a young man, said his so-called Project Eyeborg is to have the camera, a battery and a wireless transmitter mounted on a tiny circuit board. http://www.eyeborgblog.com/

Spence, in Brussels to appear at a media conference, said that no part of the camera would be connected to his nerves or brain.

He does not want to create a reality TV show and the camera can be turned off when not needed.

“I don’t want to go into a locker room. I don’t want to show the world me going to the bathroom either … “

Wow an eyeborg! I think I want to install a mini-cam in my nose so I can be a boogerborg…
